Together for
democracy
Even after the election, you still have the choice to stand up for democracy. With the ARMEDANGELS X EIKE KÖNIG Democracy Collection, we are sending a message for an open, active, and vocal civil society. 100% of the profits will be donated.
Don't GHOST
THE VOTE
With this year's Solidarity Series, we want to raise awareness of the importance of democracy and participation. Because in this federal election in particular, it is more crucial than ever to vote democratically. “Don't ghost the vote” is a call to action, a clear statement, and an active contribution.
Together with prominent supporters, we are sending a message: Jella Haase, Jasna Fritzi Bauer, Luisa-Céline Gaffron, Merlin Sandmeyer, Brix Schaumburg, Jonny Mahoro, and Gizem Emre stand behind this message.

Eike König is known for his bold style of questioning social issues. For the German federal election, he gives democracy a face and creates "Don't Ghost the Vote," an artwork calling for democratic voting.
Eike König is a renowned, internationally known artist, designer, and professor. He is the founder of the creative studio Hort in Berlin. Known for his conceptual and typographically influenced designs, he works at the intersection of design and art. His works are often socially critical and experimental, which has earned him international recognition in the design scene. In addition to his work as a designer, König is also active as a lecturer and speaker.
Eike: "Even back then, social issues and conflicts were negotiated with the help of comic characters. I found it a fitting translation to give democracy, which is fundamentally a disembodied construct, constantly negotiated and thus changing, a figurative moment."
Eike: "It's important to me to create inclusive art, not exclusive art, with the greatest possible scope for interpretation in its readability. I find inspiration in the magical moments when I encounter something new or discover something unknown in the familiar."
Eike: “The ability to vote is a fundamental right. Unfortunately, every unused opportunity to vote strengthens the parties that would prefer to abolish democracy or transform it into something that is democracy in name only.”
“For me, democracy means engaging in dialogue. You have a voice, so use it for this conversation.”

Questions & Answers
Participating in elections is a great responsibility and, at the same time, a great privilege. Every eligible voter should exercise their right to vote (on February 23) in order to contribute to democratic legitimacy, combat extremism, and ensure justice and equality. By casting your vote, you can influence crucial issues such as climate justice, human rights, and social justice. These are important prerequisites for a stable and functioning democracy and a world in which we want to live. Democracy thrives on an active civil society. Those who do not vote leave the choice to others. This is why we say: don't ghost the vote!
100% of the profits will be donated to Cultures Interactive e.V. and HateAid. The profits will be divided equally. The political education initiative Cultures Interactive e.V. has set itself the goal of convincing young people of the fundamental values of liberal democracy and giving them an understanding of political contexts, thereby enabling them to play a responsible role in shaping our democracy. The organization HateAid is committed to protecting digital freedom of expression and combating online hate. It supports victims of digital violence by providing counseling, legal assistance, and public relations work. Its goal is to create a safe and democratic digital environment in which people can express themselves without fear of hostility.
For several years, ARMEDANGELS has dedicated its Solidarity Series to a topic that deserves solidarity and social attention. This year, we want to raise awareness of the importance of democracy and participation. Because, especially in this federal election, it is more crucial than ever to vote democratically: "Don't ghost the vote." In the past, we have already launched collaborations with organizations such as SOS Humanity and Seawatch to draw attention to social and political grievances and actively contribute to change. Each campaign aims to generate awareness for an issue while simultaneously raising donations for an initiative.
We are not here to make fashion. We are here to make change. ARMEDANGELS is a brand that is clearly committed to environmental and social responsibility. Our commitment to manufacturing products that are as responsible as possible inevitably brings us into contact with political issues such as climate change and social justice. By taking a political stance, we want to raise awareness of global issues and have a positive impact on society and politics.
